Hey friends, and welcome back to another biweekly update.As stated from the last update, there are multiple things in the works that focuses on improving the user experience of our wallet app. While we’re not ready to share the finer details of some plans this week just yet, we’re super ready to let you know of our newest safety feature — address risk screening.We’ll share more about the other plans next time, so stay tuned!<hr><h4>Risk screening wallet addresses</h4>With our ongoing mission to make KryptoGO Wallet the safest crypto wallet on the market, we have added an experimental feature: Address Risk Screening. Before users make any sort of transaction, they have the option to scan the recipient address to look for any sort of anomaly or potential risks.For example, here’s me trying to send 0.01 Matic to the address ending in 9DBE. See the scan address button down there at the bottom?<img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*KNhMD8sTgsuKhRCqC1Bbrg.png">Click on it to see an estimated risk score calculated using our proprietary address screening technology. In this case, the recipient wallet has a low risk score (18/100), meaning it is most likely fine approving a Send Funds transaction to that wallet.<img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*OIiSzuVbxLUzCJP2y_czdA.png">For more detail, expand to see the category of transactions which the recipient wallet interacts with the most. In this case, we can see 0x….9dbe mostly perform transactions with licensed crypto exchanges and other trusted sources, which means this wallet is most likely not used by any malicious party that wants to scam you.<img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*emv3xZxzMacyCHLAv2Oqcw.png">We believe that including address risk screening as an option helps to keep the web3 community safer, and we are one of very few wallets that provides this feature. However, for full transparency, this is an experimental feature because the costs of running address screening for all transactions is high. In the future, it is possible that we reserve this feature for users using a premium version of our wallet. In the meantime, let us know what you think!<h4>Other fixes and improvements</h4><ul><li>OpenSea’s v1 APIs have been deprecated, and that caused a few NFT-related features to stop working (e.g. showing the details of an NFT). We’ve migrated from OpenSea’s v1 API to our own backend in order to solve this problem.</li><li>We’ve spent some time reviewing how various errors are handled, as well as how they are shown to the user. In general, should a user encounter an error, there should be clearer messages that indicate the best next course of action, and the development team would have an easier time tracking down and diagnosing these errors due to less ambiguous error codes.</li><li>Fixed a bug where the custom gas fee used for transactions in certain networks do not persist after the transaction.</li><li>Improved clarity for contacts in the Chatroom Tab that have since been deleted.</li><li>Fixed a bug where the default language used upon first launching the app on a new device does not match the device’s preferred language or locale information.</li><li>Fixed a minor UI overflow problem in the QR Code scanner.</li><li>Resolved an issue that prevented Android users from backing up their key shards to the cloud.</li></ul><hr>Have feedback, or encountered any issues with any of our products?
